How I Wish...

How I wish I have more money. I mean cash money. Not that I am ungrateful with what The Almighty has given me. It's just that I wish to have more money to settle many problems, to fulfill many dreams and to accomplish many tasks.

I  wish I have more money so that I can keep more than the RM2K I set aside every month. I wish to have a bigger home than the terrace house I bought with the government loan, and that means I wish to buy it in cash. I wish to have another car though I am very thankful of my Persona which I paid in cash four years ago.It was my birthday present for myself. I really wish I earn double my pay now so that I can buy another present of the same kind for my coming birthday.

I dream of beautiful things that I will not feel guilty buying. I mean, right now I would feel guilty if I were to buy a pair of shoes that cost more than RM500.  My shoe limit is RM350.  Beyond that,  guilt would engulf me. I dream of handbags that cost RM 2K. The most expensive handbag I own is RM500. Beyond that, is another case of feeling guilty.

It would be a real comfort if I were to have more money in the sense I can help my eldest daughter in UK, because she is pursuing her doctorate without any scholarship. I would like to help my second daughter who has just started working, pay her study loan which is around RM4K. That is the amount she has to pay for securing a second class upper when she graduated. Thank God she was diligent enough to earn that grade. If she were to get lesser than second class upper she would have to pay double. And I would love to help my youngest daughter open a food outlet of her choice as she is now a demi chef in a high-end restaurant in Bangsar.

I do not think it is wrong to wish for more money. And I wish for the money to be earned according to religion and law. I wish for my own money the halal way.

Many people say money cannot buy happiness but it certainly solves many problems, fulfills many dreams and helps to accomplish many tasks. Happiness is how you perceive life and no one can determine your happiness because you are the one living your life.
